19th National Cytopathology Annual Conference Successfully Convened

"The mist settles over the Oujiang River as the waves first ebb, drinking to the west wind as the oar opens the way. The ten-foot sail hangs, not yet steady, as the green hills tilt and press down upon the short awning." From June 4 to 6, 2021, the 19th National Cytopathology Annual Conference was successfully held along the banks of the Oujiang River in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province.
The conference was organized by the Chinese Medical Association and the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, hosted by the Cytopathology Group of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and co-organized by the Pathology Branch of the Zhejiang Medical Association, the Zhejiang Clinical Pathology Quality Control Center, the Pathology Branch of the Wenzhou Medical Association, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. It aimed to further improve the level of cytopathological diagnosis and technology, enhance academic exchange and mutual understanding, and promote the better and faster development of cytopathology in China.

During the conference, numerous pathology experts and directors stopped to consult and learn about Heer Medical's new HPV E6/E7 protein detection products and related AI analysis equipment. Heer staff demonstrated the fully automatic multispectral cellular image analysis system's detailed operations from automatic slide loading and fully automatic image analysis to report generation, and answered every expert's questions in detail. Experts expressed high approval of the HPV E6/E7 protein immunocytochemical staining results and the AI automation level of the fully automatic multispectral cellular image analysis system.

Heer Medical's HPV E6/E7 protein detection products receive high attention from experts

Experts noted that HPV E6/E7 protein is a direct marker of HPV-induced cancer or precancerous lesions in cells, combining the advantages of high specificity and sensitivity. Detecting it is an effective screening strategy. One of the difficulties in cytology in China is misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis caused by the excessive intensity of manual slide reading. The solution pioneered by Heer Medical — in which the system automatically analyzes immunocytochemical staining slides and automatically generates HPV E6/E7 protein staining results — can effectively reduce manual workload and free pathologists' energy and time for interpreting suspicious TBS slides, providing a great boost for the development of cytology.
As Heer Medical's new HPV E6/E7 protein detection product line continues to be developed and refined, we will continue to provide advanced comprehensive cervical cancer screening services for pathologists and gynecologists. Heer Medical looks forward to building a better future together with you!
